Today we’re taking a look at Fruit Ninja, one of my favorite games for iOS.

This app, created by Halfbrick Studios, is already one of the best selling games on the App Store.
And with good reason, the gameplay in Fruit Ninja is simple yet extremely addictive.

Fruit is thrown from the bottom of the screen and you must slice each piece before it falls back down.

The goal is to slice as much fruit as possible while surviving the steadily increasing difficulty.

Be careful though, if you let too many fruits fall, or accidentally hit a bomb it’s game over!

From a design standpoint fruit ninja is outstanding.
The visuals are sharp and vibrant.
Each slice paints the background with splashes of color.

The sound design is also well done.
Each fruit makes a distinct and satisfying sound when sliced, and the soundtrack fits perfectly with the game’s quirky theme.

From a technical aspect, the overall build of the app is exceptional!
Performance remains smooth and responsive even during the most intense slicing action!

Overall Fruit Ninja is one of the best pick up and play gaming experiences available on iOS.

At only $1, this game is a great value and is worth a look for anyone!
